Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry's standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.

Buying your first home is an experience that you’ll never forget. That’s why it’s best to make it a positive one! This can be easily achieved with the right real estate team working beside you, as well as a clear understanding of the home buying process. Something that most first time buyers are not aware of is the concept of pre-approval and pre-qualification.

To start off, pre-qualification and pre-approval are not the same. Sometimes these terms are used interchangeably, but this is not correct. Though they may sound similar... READ MORE

I’m often asked, “How much are closing costs?” By being well-informed and educated on every aspect of the home buying and loan process, you can enjoy the experience even more and make sure it’s a time full of happy memories. Something that first time home buyers need to especially be aware of and educated on are closing costs.

If you are thinking about buying a home and selling your current home, you may be asking yourself, “Which one should I do first?” It’s like that age-old dilemma, which came first; the chicken or the egg? If you sell your current home first, it could take some time to find your replacement home – a situation that can leave you displaced until you find the right one.

As a professional real estate agent and mortgage broker, I get asked the question “Which area is better?” all the time. The answer really depends on each family’s own goals and priorities, and determining which area is best for your family is definitely a personal choice.

The best way to demonstrate this is to take a closer look at four real families that we’ve worked with in the past. I helped each one buy, sell, and finance their homes, and each of these families chose different areas based on their personal goals and priorities. Below are the four homes that these families chose in February 2014 that are all within a similar price range, but are located in different areas.

In my endeavors to help people buy, sell and finance homes, I see many financial profiles ranging from families that struggle to others that have stability and others that have huge success. One differentiating factor is their commitment, focus and discipline to these three fundamental investment principles.

Please don't take this as formal financial advice as I am not formally trained in this area. Although I do have a MBA in finance from NYU, see a huge array of clients personal finances and do have some life experience that I can draw on, make sure you consult a financial advisor to find out what path is best for your situation.
